Dad was a mechanical and electrical engineer operating as manager of workshops as a junior officer all three workshops he handled had intracticle problems he solved all three separately with the same way productivity LinkedIn bonus he went on to become an exported of Indian railway trains and tech transfer he handled South America steam engines were electrified for heating doing away with coal the wheels were also modified to make the train run faster he told them all the coaches are the same they can be air conditioned by using a Dynamo attached to wheels that's the best railway in the world wheels were modified for fast travel that's his mark as a middle officer he wasn't liked by anyone got a non executive post which was executifued when the general manager was on leave he settled perennial problem of eastern railway next he went to southeastern railway in another similar position settled that when the general manager was on leave he was in the territorial cc wing of the army went for emergency work during three different strikes during the india Pakistan war he was deputed to get Pakistani prisoners of war out of Bangladesh there was a snag in and engine which he settled himself he retired in 1982 and we then settled in Delhi where we built our house and permanent address
